This painting developed extremely quickly and naturally, every so often in the first stages of a painting the works seems to come together and say everything you wanted it to at once. I love the simplicity and the one touch aspect, this is the type of painting that only happens once in a while and I believe can only happen when you aren't trying to make it happen? With my work I am coming to terms with the fact that not every piece will 'work' but my practice means nothing fails because it can be worked over again and again.
