This painting I started off at home, I wanted to return to and think more clearly about the progress I made with colour last year. Being more sensitive to tone and colour size- It is difficult to work on the floor and also stops me from being able to step back and take in the painting before moving on the the next stage.
I have slipped into the bad habit of thinking about what I want the painting to look like before it's finished- I am working on this. I think the pressure of third year and having not had the time to get stuck in with my practice has held me back this term. However, the next couple of weeks will be good to get more stuck in.
