I have made a makeshift canvas out of an old stretcher and recycled blind.. it worked quite well.

Again using my gestural made up language to start the marks.

I like how the marks are quite naive because I had been noticing too many of the same shapes cropping up in my paintings which made me feel less connected to the work because they felt too thought through.

the less raw the marks, shapes and movement is - something that has been practiced too much- the less I feel like it is true to my real self expression.
